Fundraising in memory of Harold Cormack

My Story

Following early retirement from the Royal Bank of Scotland, Harry commenced working with with Basildon Mind in 1997. He joined to assist with the computerisation of the accounting system and later assumed the post of Treasurer.

Harry found the work of Basildon Mind very interesting and close to his heart. He sometimes mentioned to us his astonishment at the mental health stories he heard about. He stayed working with Basildon Mind long after his "second retirement" as Treasurer, a sign of his ongoing dedication to a cause that was clearly important to him.

Sadly, Harry left us on 25 June. His wishes were for a simple, direct cremation. All those who knew him well would recognise his desire for a minimum of fuss. We are commemorating his life with a memorial gathering. In the event you would like to send something of recognition (like flowers or tribute), instead we his family would ask you to consider a donation that will make a positive impact to Basildon Mind in memory of Harry.
